Meir Hayon
Meir Hayon graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles, with a degree in biology. Since 2003, however, he has worked as an auctioneer for New Jersey-based auction house U.S. Treasure. Though Meir Hayon is based in New Jersey, he is licensed in a number of states, including Massachusetts and Rhode Island. He also belongs to the New York State Auctioneers Association and the New Jersey State Society of Auctioneers.
Meir Hayon commands a strong knowledge of fine art, antiques, jewelry, and furniture produced in the last 300 years. At U.S. Treasure, he auctions rarities including diamonds, sapphires, hand-signed art from Picasso, and rugs ranging in size from 2 by 3 feet to 13 by 20 feet. Meir Hayon’s employer has held accreditation from the Better Business Bureau since May 23, 2006, and its current rating is A+.
Outside of his career, Meir Hayon maintains a passion for travel that has taken him to places such as Africa, South America, and Europe. A lover of high culture, he enjoys listening to classical music and collecting art. Meir Hayon also donates to the New Jersey Youth Theatre, Inc., and counts driving classic cars, swimming, and golfing among his interests.
